Heidi Makes A Podcast! Podcast! Podcast!
Episode 12--David Huntsberger! Is! A! Delight!
Imagine spending years listening to a podcast and falling in love with everyone on it.
Imagine one of the hosts comes to town and you get to meet him!
Imagine that the show ends forever and you never get to hear their voices, their updates, their little weirdies.
Imagine the host you met returns to your town and DOES YOUR PODCAST IN YOUR HOUSE!
This is that conversation...
...In this cheery chat recorded back in the blissful, uninfected past (Aug 2019), comedian David Huntsberger (of Professor Blastoff (w/ Tig Notaro)) podcast fame and I sat down IN MY BASEMENT (it's pretty!) to discuss:
~The early years of comedy podcasting from his front-row view at Earwolf (quite different from what I expected)
~The meaning of celebrity (spoiler: DH thinks it's utter total nonsense) and what it's like to watch your friend become famous
~The experience of podcast fandom and if you can be too big a fan of something (David and I have different takes)
~Why make anything/ the "insanity" of being all-in doing something no one seems to register/ should you even continue and if so why?
This was, for me, an utterly magical conversation. The publication of this months-old convo was delayed for a series of boring reasons but I'm delighted to share this blast from the blithe, unknowing past for your enjoyment, now.
Before primaries and viruses there was... simple friendly connection & happiness.

*About my 'special offer' (Free one-on-one Focusing session)
Focusing involves holding a kind of open, non-judging attention to an internal knowing which is directly experienced but is not yet in words. Focusing can, among other things, be used to become clear on what one feels or wants, to obtain new insights about one's situation, and to stimulate change or healing of the situation.
